UFC 128 Bonuses: Schaub, Koch, Barboza, Njokuani Earn $70K Awards

Brendan SchaubBrendan Schaub, Erik Koch, Edson Barboza, and Anthony Njokuani each earned $70,000 bonuses for their performances at Saturday’s “UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones” event in Newark, New Jersey, UFC President Dana White announced at the post-fight press conference.

With UFC 128 featuring no submissions, Schaub and Koch both scored “Knockout of the Night” bonuses, as Schaub likely ended the UFC career of Mirko Cro Cop with a third-round KO of the veteran on the UFC 128 pay-per-view, while Koch kicked off the UFC 128 prelims with a KO of Raphael Assuncao.

Barboza and Njokuani earned “Fight of the Night” honors for their standup battle on UFC 128’s Spike-televised prelims, which include a last-second spinning back kick to the head by Barboza before taking a unanimous decision.

UFC 128 drew 12,619 fans to Newark’s Prudential Center for a live gate of $2.14 million.
