The contract likely indicates that a welterweight title shot could come later in 2008. Fitch, who is 7-0 in the UFC, had pushed for a fight against fellow-contender Karo Parisyan. That fight would have put the winner on a fast-track for a title shot but in booking this fight it likely means Fitch will need at least one additional win before fighting for the title.
  • Rich Clementi indicated in a recent post on The Underground that Kyle Bradley has signed with the UFC though no specifics were revealed.

  • FixXeR says:

I know boxing is not as fun to watch anymore but I just seen that there is a possibility of a Tyson-Holyfield 3 (http://www.fightreport.net)

That is one fight I will pay to see. No matter how many girls Tyson has raped or how many children he has eaten….in the late 80s early 90s….he was the baddest man on the planet and everyone from that era knew it. I think it has the possibility to be another good seller. Id buy it.

  • johnboy says:

  • scotchydow says:

Tyson will get his ass handed to him again by Evander…..Couture sure is hanging out with Cuban a lot……..As far as I am conserned, Melvin and Rich can fight to the death, and you can shoot the winner……..It’s too bad Tanj couldn’t fight Kimbo 15 years ago, he could have won then…….Dan Henderson is going to kick A. Silva’s ASS…..Fitch will be champ someday soon…..Diego should drop before he gets dropped……Rampage is going to tear Hollywood apart!!!!!!!!!

  • 2girls1cup says:

couture should pocket some of the money he raises so that he can pay his legal fees for when dana white ultimately sues his ass off. diego should drop and fight huerta. i like fitch but people need to stop jockin him so damn much, he’s in a long line of people that deserve title shots before he does and since there hasn’t been a title defense in like over a year, he still needs to pay his dues. that bein said, people need to stop heralding the 170 class altogether, it’s not what it was and the lightweights are coming up big. personally, i think that’s the best class goin on right now and when bj rapes joe stevenson, all will be right in the world of mma.

  • micjasbro says:

scotchydow, that was my thought about Cotoure and Cubin.

2girls1cup, how can you have a problem with poeple giving Fitch his props? He’s undefeated in the octagon, with no loses all the way back to ’02 with 14 straigt wins. Who else deserves the shot before him? Karo, he couldn’t beat Sanchez, and he already has a loss to St Pierre. I agree Karo deserves a chance at redemption and a shot at the belt, but Fitch is defenitely in line before him. Who else is there??

  • zac says:

    heres a dream fight: Lesnar/Abbot v Herring/Cro-Cop in a tagteam bout. jk.

  • scotchydow says:

Go back to the WWE zac- Just kidding, but if you want to see some 2 on 2 action, there are a bunch of videos called “Felony Fights” that have crap like that. (worth only a laugh)
