UFC 81: Rob Emerson vs. Keita Nakamura
The UFC has added an undercard fight to UFC 81: Breaking Point pitting “The Ultimate Fighter 5″ castmember Rob Emerson against Keita Nakamura.
Emerson (6-6 MMA, 0-0 UFC) entered the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter with a wealth of professional experience but was unable to win either of his first round fights against Corey Hill or eventual winner Nate Diaz. He returned on the live finale of the show to face Gray Maynard. The fight, Emerson’s first in the UFC, ended in a no contest as he tapped as the result of a brutal slam while Maynard was knocked unconscious in the attempt.
Namakura (13-2-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) entered the UFC with high expectations having an undefeated MMA record. In his first two showings, however, he has been unimpressive losing unanimous decisions to Brock Larson at UFC Fight Night 7 and Drew Fickett at UFC Fight Night 9.
UFC 81 takes place February 2nd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will air on pay-per-view. The event features the UFC debut of professional wrestler turned mixed martial artist Brock Lesnar who faces former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir. Another former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Tim Sylvia, will go toe-to-toe with Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira for the interim heavyweight title.

hope rob can win this and become a good contender in the light weights, he was my pick to win the show at first, (not my best pick) haha, hes got a pritty big frame for 155 so would be good to see him get his ufc career up and running.
I thought Emerson was doin time for jumping people at gas stations.

I was a big Emerson fan when he was on the show. Then I saw on cagepotato the video of him in court after jumping those kids… I instantly lost all respect for him. I hope he gets destroyed and never fights in the UFC again.
Maynard will beat him for sure if they fight again! It was a freak knockout. And yes I know Emerson was alreay hurt going into that fight and I’m an Emerson fan but I just think that Maynard is a much better fighter and his ground game is way to good with his wrestling background for Emerson to stop him from being taken down. But I will be cheering for Emerson in this one.

I hope Emerson gets boo’d like no one ever has in the UFC and then I hope he gets his butt kicked. Why they are letting a guy who can’t win a fight in the UFC is beyond me. He didn’t win once on TUF and in the finale Maynard was beating him senseless. He doesnt look so tough without 12 of his budddies there to help him. That video enraged me. I hope Dana pulls his butt off the card. he isn’t the type of guy the UFC needs to represent them, and certainly isn’t what MMA is all about. Rob Emerson is exactly why people don’t like mixed martial arts.
I’m disappointed to see anyone cheering for Emerson. I am all for second chances, but what this guy did was cowardly. What a double standard! Babalu is booted for holding a choke too long in the ring. Guys like Barnett and Sherk stripped for ‘roids. Nick Diaz booted for marijuana, but its okay to take 12 guys and use your martial arts skills and beta him for no reason. Emerson is a bum! I hope he gets beat bad!
rob emerson did that when he was 2o years old thats like 7 years ago i no what they did was sick but im sure we`ve all done something we regret, give the guy a break he was young an stupid.
He wasn’t a 14 year old kid. He was an adult and is responsible for his actions. He should be in prison. Give the guy some soap on a rope and lock him up. Emerson is a loser! Why is he fighting in the UFC? He lost not once but twice on TUF. He wouldve lost to Maynard. He will loose again. I hope he loses and is never heard from again in the world of MMA.
Good Job Rob! Someones personal life should have no affect as a pro fighter. I train with Rob and he is a good guy. So he got into gangbanging back in the day, that was then and this is now.
I use to gangbang to, but know i’m trying to be where Rob is, and that’s in the UFC!!!
