bottom line. noone knows what’s gonna happen. noone knows how serious tito is about the fight. noone knows how machida can take a serious punch. no one knows which tito will show up. no one knows what tito is thinking after the fight (which will dictate how hard he trains). There are a lot of things unknown. I hope it is a better fight than everyone thinks and i think tito needs to bring the serious pressure early and he has a chance. If Machida gets to fight the fight he has planned, it’s going to be a long night for tito. I sure hope it doesn’t go to a decision

Tito is not a bad fighter, he’s just not a great one like he thinks. I feel all the people backing him are only doing so becuase they know his name. Machida by submission in the 3rd or unanimous decision..

Tito said he wanted a bigger fight than Machida thats why hes upset. Well how much bigger of a name does he need Machida is top of the food chain undefeated and beat alot of the top names, I think Tito didnt want this fight cause he knows theres a good chance he will be beat if not destroyed and with all this time he has had off it will be humiliating if he looses. I want him to win to show that Machida aint ****, unfortunatley I know the guy is really good come on he trains with Anderson Silva and has the same style on the feet if you watch closley Titos in trouble but I hope he can win if not, then go to another organization to see how he does there.

tito is going to come into this machida fight with a huge grudge against dana white….he is going to beat machida by stoppage and flip off dana at ringside…if somehow dana gives in and resigns tito…and if rashad wins vs thiago then i see a rematch being setup but i would love to see wanderlia vs rashad so rashad and get his ass kicked….it would be stupid if they don’t sign tito..he’s still got the fans and can still bring in the money for the UFC

James, I agree as far as there being a big question about Machida’s chin and heart, but if the same Tito shows up against Machida, that fought Chuck in 06, Tito will be in trouble again. While Tito did actually try to throw combos against Chuck, he ended up in the fetal position 2 or 3 times at the of those exchanges, and almost needed a new liver after getting hit with three straight liver punches, as Liddell telegraphed the last punch dropping down to one knee, before he threw it. You could see the cumulative effect of the shots he took when he got knocked down the third time, and curled up in a ball. He wasn’t scrambling or even thinking offense, just trying to survive. No disrespect if your a Tito fan, but any performance that put him in the fetal position a few times trying to survive, should not be repeated. I definitely think he has a much better shot coming in like he did against Rashad, trying to wrestle and GnP <100%, than he did against Liddell, trying to stand and wrestle at 100%. Even though Machida doesn’t have the power of Liddell, he’s more accurate, and that’s bad news for Tito. There’s no glory in standing with an elite striker and taking a beating, just to say you stood toe to toe with him. Unless that’s just an excuse cuz you couldn’t take him down.

As for A. Silva, I think the Lutter match was one of his most impressive. I’m not really a fan of the spyder, but the man just quietly goes about his business and handles people. Weak or not, Lutter(arguably one of the best on the ground)had a clean armbar,allows Silva to escape, and then is submitted and busted open by strikes while on top. I also thought it might have been a weak effort by Lutter, but then Silva went and handed the former King of Pancrase’s ass to him in the first round,(that would have been Nate the Great). I’m definitely pulling for Hendo, but Silva deserves his respect. He’s top five P.F.P in the world.

Tito needs to take the fight against Lyoto, and beat him to be the man again no question, Im pretty positive it wont happen, Titos a runner, if he was the man he would have re fought Rashad Evans and beat his ass, then no one would be talking. Now hes taken almost half a year off and comes back and does nothing kind of makes you wonder, however if he comes back and kicks ass like he he should do then maybe he was injured during his fights. Titos good for MMA cause he brings hype into the ring when he enters the cage during his fights, allows mma fans to get excited, but then they loose that if hes only holding people or trying to keep them on the ground and doing nothing, true MMA fans like to see people put it all on the line at one time even if they loose as long as they made the fight awesome to watch, take Wanderlei Silva hes a perfect example of MMA good attitude never complains and most all puts it all on the line same as BJ Penn always inflicts the most damage even if he looses he always leaves the others dudes faces all messed up.

lets be fair fixxer rashad isnt a good wrestler hes the best at 205 and idk if uve ever rolled with a really good wrestler but trust me a fence is just about ur only option when they get a hold of u and who r the only 2 people to takedown tito? Randy Couture and rashad id say thats some pretty good wreslters to get taken down by and just because rashad hasnt had a big name fight y does that make it supposidly an easy fight for tito? and im pretty sure the whole “JENNA” “TITO” thing happened when he was fightin shamrock sad but true.
James i completly agree if he comes healthy and wit out outside distractions i.e. the apprentice and making porn wit jenna(check imdb.com his next movie is called zombie strippers) then he could make a run to the top again and his first step is to take machidas 0
