I’ll be there as long as ticket prices aren’t ridiculous. Can’t wait.
Glad to see Ohio, who according to some here at the frenZy is like an MMA no-fly zone, is getting a major event.
;-)
And Strikeforce has certainly lived up to their end of the Hendo deal with reportedly fat payouts and title opportunities.
Might be nice if Hendo lived up to his end of the deal and maybe won one of these titles Sf signs him to shoot for…
How many titlefights can that man get..
He keeps losing and losing all his titlefights, and he still keeps getting them.
I’m pretty sure if Hendo comes up short here, he’s “out of the mix” at both 185 and 205.
As for why he keeps getting titleshots, Dan Henderson still holds the distinction [for the time being] of the only man to simultaneously hold gold in 2 different weightclasses [205/185] in a major MMA org. That distinction IMO, along with his sportsmanship and Olympic cred, has earned him his multiple title opportunities in both the UFC and Strikeforce.
Plus in the UFC there were “unification bouts” with the defunct PRIDE titles, a tradition [of sorts] the UFC is keeping with the WEC.
And I realize that a few Tony Lopez supporters dispute the Hendo deal because Lopez held the King of the Cage 205 and Hw titles simulataneously, but in spite of TV coverage and some DVD sales, I’d have to rate KoTC as a small show [and not major] MMA org, no disrespect intended…
Nice … Nice …..Nice ……
Love it already
