Herschel Walker Scores First-Round TKO at “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg”

Herschel Walker improved to 2-0 in his MMA career on Saturday as the 48-year-old former football standout scored a first-round TKO of Scott Carson at “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg” in San Jose.

Like his debut one year ago, Walker dominated an outmatched opponent, dropping Carson with punches early in the opening round then keeping on the pressure, including knocking out his mouthguard late, before forcing the referee to step in with a final combination.

After the win, Walker said he plans to continue his MMA career.

In the opening bout on the Showtime-televised main card, decorated grappler Roger Gracie remained undefeated with a first-round rear naked choke of veteran Trevor Prangle to move to 4-0.
