This may end up being a good thing for Franklin. By the time he comes back the middleweight picture may have changed a bit. I don’t see anyone beating Silva (even Hendo) but there should be more interesting match ups for Franklin. For example, Franklin could come back and knock Bisping’s head off.

personally i think rich needs to go over to WEC and crush filho.. as long as anderson is champ rich has no future there.

That explains the rumored fights and also why Franklin made his announcement recently. I loved how people started trashing the writers here as soon as Franklin said any rumored fights were false, when most likely the report was accurate that Rich had agreed to a fight. Rich, the offer for loge seats and beers still stands for Columbus.

i hope rich can get back in there soon against some new fighters in the division.maybe bisping or hopefully some more middleweights the ufc will sign.

I would rather see him take a long absence than see him come back too early with a lackluster performance.
