BJ Penn has entered a plea of no contest to charges of hitting a police officer outside of a Waikiki bar in 2005 according to the Honolulu Advertiser. As a result of the plea Penn was sentenced to one year of probation and a $2,000 fine. He must also abstain from alcohol, undergo random drug and alcohol testing, enroll in an alcohol abuse program, and perform 50 hours of community service.
Penn also received permission from the judge to travel to Newcastle, England in January for his UFC 80 lightweight title bout against Joe Stevenson.

I bet the officer deserved it!
8 times out of 10 they do danny boy
It’s all good, he can still fight in England.
Like I said before, this is all setting up for a grudge match between Sherk and Penn. You got Sherk running around calling BJ a “PUNK” and BJ talking about Sherk’s steroid conviction- UFC 85-Felony Free For All……or…… UFC 85- Misdeminor Mayham!!!
UFC 85-Convicted Chaos!!!!!UFC 85- Justice is Served!!!!!(I think I like that one the best)
Both are funny pay per view titles scotchydow. Penn has to hold his end of the bargain and beat Stevenson. Stevenson is no joke and I will pick Stevenson by decision over Penn due to Penn’s questionable gas tank.
I think “UFC 85: Justice” would be a good name because it’s funny but it also sounds like something the UFC would actually call a PPV. Can’t be any worse than “Bad Intentions” or any of the other silly names the UFC comes up with.
UFC 85- Off the Hook
if bj beats joe him and sherk can fight in hawaii when a ufc event comes dow 2 hawaii cheeee huuuuu
everyone is looking foward to the Sherk Penn fight. Penn still has to get through Stevenson….which isnt gonna be easy.
“UFC 85 – Beware of Sherk”
Sherk defeats Penn, Penn befriends Danzig and becomes a vegan. BJ then announces he will only fight once a year, drops to 145 challenges Pulver at UFC vs WEC II in 2009.
Penn > Stevenson
Sherk > Penn
So, I guess Jon Kopenhaver just wants to be like BJ. These dudes need to stay out of trouble. It makes the entire MMA community look like a bunch of roiding idiots. Not really a good way to promote your sport. Time for Dana to step in and make some rules, or it’ll bite him in the ass, eventually.
lol…man good laugh reading this thread…..interesting titles…im go as far as too say that the last comment is not the greatest….i beleive this sport woulda got no where had u not drunk “WHITE” dudes beating up eachother…this sport is violence at its greatest and its free on cable t.v lmao
ya;ll are crazy to against penn in any of his fights…the man is pure genious…for about the first round
lol i gues that plays in to the questionable “Gas Tank” that bj has…the dude only wants 2 fights a year…..g’damn they better be FOY material lol
Penn > Stevenson
Penn > Sherk
Huerta > Penn
Hey Ravine,
“ya;ll are crazy to against penn in any of his fights”
Then
“Huerta > Penn”
WTF?
I love Huerta, but I agree with you holy_dave that Huerta is not at Penn’s level. Maybe one day he might be, but not at this moment.
Well I guess im the crazy one then by saying
Penn < Stevenson
