How awesome is this fight card?! I’m gonna miss the WEC events – this is a good way to go out though. These guys are quick and like to bang, and will bring more exciting fights to the UFC brand which I feel is desperately needed at this time.
Did anyone else see Dana White say a few weeks ago that the UFC wants to put on about 30 events in 2011? I believe he said 8 were free cards (4 Spike, 4 Versus), and about 22 PPVs. Is that even possible? If so, this is Christmas early for us die-hard watch all the fight card maniacs.
Can anyone at the Frenzy confirm this?
ya, i also heard dana wanted around 30-32 events in 2011. minus the fight nights/ultimate fighter finale and the versus fights there should be a pay per view around every two weeks!
I too am excited for tonights fight card. was kinda wishing for a cerrone/varner 3 though.
There could be Cerrone/Varner 3. But it will happen in the UFC if and only if Varner and Cerrone win and win impressively enough to survive the impending 155 purge.

@Bsbiz – What’s a “google?” I finally found it; it was part of the UFC 123 post-fight press conference where Dana talked about the 2011 plans for the UFC. Pretty exciting stuff!

I’m kinda shocked that Varner vs Roller is not on the main card.
I’m sure if the event was three hours like the UFC, they would have thrown it on the main.
The two title fights on this card are sick match ups.
Should be interesting to see the winner of Henderson/Pettis fight the winner of Edgar/Maynard.
2011 is gonna be a great year for MMA fans.

WOW I think Dominick Cruz is slowly becoming on of the best P4P in the world. His foot work and ability to slip punches, and counter with his own is really something specail to watch. His combinations tied in with his takedowns are briliant.
Can’t wait to see Cruz vs Faber.

Wow, I’m still shaking! what a way to finish the night, and the WEC with a def foy candidate. Congratulations Pettis and Cruz you guys deserved it! I haven’t seen a fight like that in a while. Pettis is gonna be a threat to either Maynard or Edgar for sure. breathtaking striking and sub defense.
Cruz truly is a special fighter. Really made Jorgensen look just average. IMO he’s going to defend his title for a long time in the ufc.
Pettis, you just gained yourself ALOT of fans man. If you didn’t hear about pettis before, you will now! only 23 years old, what a talent. Henderson’s toughness is unbeleivable as well.
the only thing that left me confused was why sean tompkins told horodecki to take it to the ground for round 2….? Thought he was doing VERY well on his feet in round 1.
