UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre weighed in exactly at 170-pounds at Friday’s UFC 124 weigh-ins, while challenger Josh Koscheck tipped the scale at 169 for their anticipated rematch that headlines tomorrow’s UFC 124 pay-per-view event in Montreal.
Stefan Struve and Sean McCorkle made weight for their heavyweight co-headliner, as did welterweights Thiago Alves and John Howard and the rest of the UFC 124 fight card.

I’m really looking forward to that fight also, but the main event is the main interest for me on this card.
My brother will quit smoking cigarettes and Marijuana if Georges St.Pierre wins this fight by KO(TKO) or Submission. That makes me want GSP to finish this fight 100x more. Please Georges St.Pterre, finish Josh Koscheck!! :)

I am a big GSP fan, he inspired me to never give up on myself, no matter how bad my life gets. So you could say that I’m a nut hugger for GSP in a joking way ;).

Hey anyone suprised that Thiago Alves weighed in at 171? Would have thought coming off his issues he would want to show he can actually make 170…
And he looked kinda scrawny compared to usual. Why not fight at 185 and forget the cut, I think he would do better (some takedown defense wouldn’t hurt either). I am excited for the fight vs Howard. Probably would be as good a co main event as the tall guy and the wig guy.
The conventional wisdom is that Thiago Alves is probably too short to gain the sort of traction he’s hoping for within the UFC fighting at 185…

Georges “Rush” St.Pierre will win anyway he wants too.

You either buy into GSP being the best MMA fighter in the world, or you don’t.

I don’t know if I would say GSP is the best MMA fighter ever just yet, but I do think he is the best welterweight MMA fighter right now by a good amount. I think Kos still has a lot more work to do before he gets to the level that GSP is at right now, but I’m not saying he can’t. He’s just not there yet. I actually like Josh Koscheck also, but GSP is my out right favorite MMA fighter.
Also, who do you think will win if you don’t mind me asking? GSP or Kos?

The reason I consider GSP the best mixed martial artist in the world, even over, Anderson Silva is based on 2 thing:
1) GSP’s in-cage performances.
2) What I observe in those performances.
While Anderson Silva has equaled or some would say surpassed GSP in terms of UFC career, I would counter that GSP IMO exhibits more well-roundedness than Anderson Silva does in the cage, and transitions more quickly and easily between the various facets of MMA than A Silva does.
As for 124, I’d go with GSP by submission.
