After his last-minute withdrawal last month from UFC 122, Alessio Sakara will return to action when he meets fellow middleweight Maiquel Falcao at UFC on Versus 3 on March 3, according to MMAjunkie.
Sakara (15-7) is on the rise after notching three-straight wins, but was forced from UFC 122′s co-headliner with Jorge River by a stomach bug, while Falcao (26-3) topped Gerald Harris in his UFC debut at UFC 123 before being arrested then released in his native Brazil on old charges earlier this week.
The UFC on Versus 3 fight card also features Diego Sanchez vs. Martin Kampmann and CB Dollaway vs. Mark Munoz, with a location to-be-determined.

Talk about being thrown to the wolves. Sakara is toast.
I don’t know if Falcao will run through Sakara easily, but Sakara may wish he hadn’t gotten thay stomach bug before his Riviera bout after this is said and done

Keep in mind we’ve only seen Falcao in one fight and he was awful in the 3rd rd. I dont’ see him walking through Sakara but I can see him winning this fight, and I think this fight ends in KO either way.
“Stomach Bug” just sounds funny.
Although Falcao was tentative against Harris, his strikes are lighting quick and powerful and could have easily knocked out Harris if he wasnt “playing it safe”. And who knows if those closing seconds in the first would have put Harris to sleep or not. I dont see Sakara having much of a chance against the “woman lover” Falcao

on his face afterwards :P
