i just read an article in a canadian newspaper in which dana white stated that matt serra is to fight matt hughes next. i think thats f**ked up. hughes needs to fight a couple more times before he gets another shot at the title.what do you think?

  • Kris says:

I think a Serra/Hughes fight would be pretty decent. Serra came out of no where to win the title and Hughes might be a bit rusty. Serra has a lot to prove coming off TUF to get a title shot while Hughes earned it.

I think for Hughes to be guaranteed a win he would want some more tune ups but I think for the most even fight without favoring either would be to put them up against one another in the next bout and then have the winner face GSP in a rematch. This is assuming GSP wins a tune up bout in between but this is how I see this situation playing out.
