The main event was off the hook; I wanted Huerta to win so badly and I am glad he did. I felt really bad for Guida; he seems to be such a great guy, it is hard to root against that guy. After last night, I am a Clay Guida fan; that dude knows how to bring it every time.

Hmm… Guess I’m the only one favoring Huerta in this fight. I think he’s stronger than Guida- a totally game fighter who will never say die, however. Think it will take about a round for Roger to figure him out. 29-28 Huerta, who will move into top 5 status and should fight Florian next, in my opinion.

2nd….our prediction…..If Huerta comes out wearing the knee wraps, look for an early submission win by Guida via knee bar.

Otherwise, Big John will make his final UFC bout ruling…a fight stoppage due to strikes and Guida will become a top contender for the UFC lightweight belt.

dorian i think he would win by knockout i dont like guys who always talk about tossing them on there heads mitchiyan reminds me of manny and kairo which are good fighters but i just dont like the guy but it would be interesting to see him fight if they show it on the show because its a prelim.

I don’t see how you can say this is Guida’s biggest fight. It is definately Huerta’s biggest challenge yet, and it will be interesting to see what happens. I have never seen anyone stop Guida. Seen him go the distance plenty of times, never stopped. If Huerta can stop Guida (I don’t think he can, but if) then he will be considered a seriouse force in the lightweight division, and rightfully so. This fight will move Huerta further than Guida with a win, since Guida is a many times tested fighter, and this is Huerta’s first “Big Fight”. I’ll take Guida, but will definately be watching for the upset.

Mac Danzig will beat Tommy Spears- He is way too smart. I said it before, he will have to KO him or win by decision, cause Tommy WON’T tap.

I got Guida over Roger too. I dont like Huerta….he is a cocky bastard who let the sports illistrated thing get to his head. Guida will not stop until he wins or gets knocked out.

That is crazy to consider Huerta as being overwhelmed in this fight. We will see, GO HUERTA. This is going to be Guida’s toughest fight in the UFC not to mention.

Great article.

I think Guida is going to be too much for Huerta. Let’s face it, Huerta has fought absolute nobodies in every single one of his fights in the UFC.

I agree with you guys picking Guida as the winner, I just hopes he finishes it because the judges do not like Clay Guida, and thats a fact.
