Alessio Sakara was been forced to withdraw from today’s UFC 122 co-main event against Jorge Rivera with flu-like symptoms and the bout has been scratched from the card.
A preliminary matchup between Duane “Bang” Ludwig and Nick Osipczak has been promoted to the UFC 122 main card, which airs in the U.S. on tape-delay on Spike TV at 9pm ET.

That sucks, this card has been pushed back too many times now
Ya that was the main Fight I was looking forward to that’s too bad but maybe we will see these guys throw down soon
Sucks for Sakara, and hopefully Dana White will pay Rivera for his efforts…
I think they both should be paid. It wasn’t like Sakara wanted this either. MMA pays terribly anyway. This has to go down as one of the worst events they ever had. They put too much emphasis on local fighters.
Sakara, Siver, Relic, Sobotta – give me good fights, not local guys.
These fans don’t care about these guys and whether they are local or not.
It was free and they focused on local fighters so they can build in those countries. It doesn’t take a degree in economics to figure that one out.
It sucks for Sakara, but I think it’s worse for Rivera. He should get paid for sure. Not only should he get paid but they should try to fit him in on the next card or the one right after that.
Sucks all the way around.
