With its January schedule filled with “UFC 125: Edgar vs. Maynard 2” on New Years Day and another UFC Fight for the Troops card expected for Jan. 22, the UFC’s plans for the following months are now taking shape, including returns to Australia and Abu Dhabi, as well as its long-awaited debut in Toronto.
The UFC is reportedly planning UFC 127 for Feb. 19 or Feb. 25 at Sydney, Australia’s Acer Arena, which previously hosted February’s UFC 110, while a March return to Abu Dhabi is also in the works after making its Middle East debut there with April’s UFC 112.
After legalizing MMA in August, Toronto is expected to host its first UFC event in April at the Rogers Centre, where a crowd of up to 50,000 is expected, UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta recently announced.
The UFC, which is also targeting future events for India and Brazil, will then return home to Las Vegas for its traditional Independence Day event on July 2.
