The UFC’s stacked Super Bowl weekend event on February 5 in Las Vegas is now expected to be UFC 126, according to MMAjunkie, after plans for a rumored late-January UFC card failed to take shape.
Though not yet official, the UFC 126 fight card is expected to be headlined by middleweight champion Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort and is also rumored to include Forrest Griffin vs. Rich Franklin, Jon Jones vs. Ryan Bader, and Kenny Florian vs. Evan Dunham.
UFC 126 follows a loaded UFC 125 fight card on New Years Day that’s topped by a rematch between lightweight champ Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard and also features Shane Carwin vs. Roy Nelson, Takanori Gomi vs. Clay Guida, and Nate Diaz vs. Dong Hyun Kim.

Wait.
What?
Did some intern in Joe Silva’s office misnumber PPVs or something?
;)
All jokes aside, its probably better for the UFC to wave off an event rather than try to force a PPV between New Year’s and Super Bowl Saturday.
Post-Christmas wallets will be considerably lighter, and this will give fans 4-5 weeks to scrape together the coin for 126…
Hopefully they add some good fights to this card!
They need to ADD GOOD FIGHTS? Did you miss the lil paragraph that says, “Though not yet official, the UFC 126 fight card is expected to be headlined by middleweight champion Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort and is also rumored to include Forrest Griffin vs. Rich Franklin, Jon Jones vs. Ryan Bader, and Kenny Florian vs. Evan Dunham.”
That alone is a PPV. They could add dbiz vs a taco and it wouldn’t diminish it (nevermind that I would do some downright vicious ground n pound on some perfectly seasoned beef in a tortilla).
A taco that pooped ice cream would get more ppv buys IMO
@dbiz, sorry bro, just joking around here, this is shaping up to be an excellent card, the way all the PPVs should be! I am calling a victory for the taco, I don’t think you’ll make weight, and you’ll forfeit 20% of your purse. I’ll bring the hot sauce. Hopefully this card stays injury free, fingers crossed.
I may not make weight, I may forfeit 20% of my purse, but I guaran-damn-tee you I take that taco out first round.
Bet on it.
Anywhere betting is legal.
Im watching both cards I don’t care how much it costs, they are awesome cards.
looks like my superbowl weekend dream might come true… now to get the lesnar/velasquez winner and dos santos on this card :)
dabiz your a fool, But your right this is a great fight card and no way im missing it. But they either need to cancel the new years one or if your going to just scrape one together make it free
What are you talking about? Seriously.
