Noons can sometimes be a borderline dirty fighter, against Jorge Gurgel he hit an illegal knee but at the end of the first or second round i forget which one, he knocked Gurgel almost out with a left hook after the bell which made all the difference in that fight.
I’m not the biggest Diaz bros fan but i admire Nick Diaz’s talent since he knocked ot Robbie Lawlor back in the day and then beat my boy Gomi at PRIDE 33, also since Diaz is from the 209 which isn’t that far from the 415 i’ll be rooting for him.
thats going alittle far! i have seen atleast 5 more of koons fights then the gurgel fight, and i have never seen him do something on purpose. he should of had a point taken from him and jorge should of been given a min after the knee. he was already in the act ofthe swing when the bell went off. noons did neither on purpose.
its not like jorge was going to win anyway. the reason gurgel doesnt submit people is he doesnt have the power to put most fighters on their butt. and i have never seen a good shot to the takedown, and he doesnt have power to get anyone down.
on that note i will be rooting for diaz anyway because i like the diaz brothers and i have nick in the top10 p4p right now.
i hope diaz shuts this guys mouth, imo nick diaz is in the top 5 p4p guys in the world an noons is just a skool yard bully i want nick to take a part of noons home wiv him
I like both fighters equally but Noons is the superior
striker and I see him getting and 2nd rd tko.
Nick will probably try and trade with him until he realizes he
needs to get this fight to the ground and pull off another sick
omaplata like he did against Gomi.
I think both guys have said cocky things in the past, neither guy is an angel but both good at promoting fights…but who cares.
Both fighters have exceptional talents in different areas, Diaz may have the reach advantage and definite groud edge but that wont matter a damn against the speed and power of Noons and as we all know…speed kills.
Nick will have to use his standup to set up a takedown or pin KJ against the fence for the takedown.
In my mind i don’t see Nick handling the speed/power and mobility of Noons…i see a similar result as the first fight.
There’s something about Noons that really annoys me.
