A pair of title fights will headline World Extreme Cagefighting’s Arizona debut, as lightweight champ Ben Henderson will take on Anthony Pettis and bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz will face Scott Jorgensen at WEC 53 on Dec. 16 at Phoenix’s Jobbing.com Arena, the WEC announced on Monday.
Henderson (12-1) defended his title with a first-round submission of Donald Cerrone at April’s WEC 48, while Pettis (11-1) has won three-straight, including a third-round sub of Shane Roller in August.
Cruz (16-1) scored a split decision over Jospeh Benavidez at WEC 50 last month after winning the title from Brian Bowles in March, while Jorgensen (11-3) topped Brad Pickett in August for his fifth-straight win.

Man, I really hope Scotty can pull off the win and get the belt. Thursday night fights, so guessing it has to be free. And like usual, will be one he11uva WEC card.
It looks like a great December WEC 53 card in the making to go with a great December UFC 124 card in the making. December should be a great month for MMA. Almost better than Christmas. ;)

Its always cool when WEC has a fight card because they put alot of their best fighters on it. Not to mention its free, I dislike Ben Henderson very much but cant deny his amazing talent. But he is very feminine, But I hope and think Cruz will use his foot work and put “Scotty” to shame.
You dislike him because you see him as feminine? That’s the best you can do? He’s about the only WEC lightweight with a chance of making any noise when that division inevitably gets swallowed by the UFC….but he’s too feminine for you.
