Dan Henderson vs. ‘Babalu’ Sobral Headlines Dec. 4 Strikeforce, Herschel Walker Returns

A long-rumored rematch between light heavyweight veterans Dan Henderson and Renato “Babalu” Sobral is set to headline a December 4 Strikeforce event at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MMAjunkie reports, with an official announcement expected next week.

NFL vet Herschel Walker is slated to return to action in the Showtime-televised event’s co-headliner against an opponent to be determined.

Henderson (25-8) dropped his Strikeforce debut to middleweight champ Jake Shields on CBS in April to snap his three-fight UFC win streak, while the former champ Sobral (36-8) bounced back from a loss to Gegard Mousasi by topping Robbie Lawler in June.

The 48-year-old Walker (1-0) made his MMA debut in January with a third-round TKO victory.

The “Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu” fight card, which goes head-to-head with the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale, is also expected to include middleweights Scott Smith vs. Jesse Finney.
