Former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber will make his anticipated bantamweight debut against Takeya Mizugaki in the main event of WEC 52 on November 11 in Las Vegas.
World Extreme Cagefighting today made the long-rumored matchup and Versus-televised event official.
WEC 52 also includes former bantamweight champ Brian Bowles vs. Wagnney Fabiano and Josh Grispi vs. Erik Koch, while a previously-unreported featherweight bout between Chad Mendes and Javier Vazquez was also announced.
The latest WEC 52 fight card features:
- Urijah Faber vs. Takeya Mizugaki
- Brian Bowles vs. Wagnney Fabiano
- Chad Mendes vs. Javier Vazquez
- Josh Grispi vs. Erik Koch
- Eddie Wineland vs. Damacio Page*
- Clint Godfrey vs. Michael MacDonald*

I used to talk all kinds of sh!t about Faber up until I met him last week. Way cool dude, Benavidez too. Hopefully Faber will get the win here and some point next year, we will see Faber vs Cruz 2.
