UFC 82: Josh Koscheck vs. Dustin Hazelett
In an update to the report from last week that Josh Koscheck would likely be added to the UFC 82 card, MMA Mania is reporting that Koscheck is likely to face Dustin Hazelett at the March event in Columbu, Ohio.
Koscheck (9-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) appeared on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter losing in the semi-finals to Diego Sanchez. “Kos” has posted UFC victories over Chris Sanford, Pete Spratt, Ansar Chalangov, Dave Menne, Jonathan Goulet, Jeff Joslin, and Diego Sanchez. His two UFC losses came against Drew Fickett and Georges St. Pierre. His last fight, a loss to St. Pierre, was a top-contender bout in August at UFC 74.
Despite a UFC debut loss to Tony DeSouza, Hazelett (10-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has bounced back strongly to win three straight UFC fights against Diego Saraiva, Steven Lynch, and Jonathan Goulet. Hazelett is from Cincinnati, Ohio and his appearance on the card will likely be one of many by fighters from the region including Koscheck and Fitch.

Should be a decent fight; I don’t see how Koscheck can lose to Hazelett. I would have rather have liked to see Alves fight Koscheck.
Kos is comming off a loss, so he should come out blazin’. I hope he does more than “lay and pray”
Yeah, this should be a good fight for Kos. Should be able to win in exciting fashion. Never know though, maybe Hazelett will surprise me.
Koscheck will rebound nicely and then wait his turn. GSP potentially winning the belt will increase his waiting unless he defeats Fitch to earn a possible rematch.
Fit6ch and Kos have very simular(if not identical) fighting stiles, but I think Fitch is much, much stronger and more aggressive so I think he would probably take that one.
i wouldn’t even want to guess who would win a fight between fitch and kos. i don’t think the ufc would match these 2 up unless it was for the belt, maybe no.1 contender too.
Fitch vs Kos (with no disrespect to Parisyan) in a #1 match, winner fights GSP/Hughes. Give Parisyan the loser of Fitch vs Kos for the next title shot. Those matches and the potential matches that stem from them would rival the potential of the 205 division in 2008.
