Can’t wait to see how much these fighters have grown since the show. Seems like some good matches. Looking forward to seeing Tommy Spears either in the finalle’ or at least fighting one of the other looser fighters(by no means do I think he is a looser) I am looking forward to any combo of Danzig, Spears, or Stiropoulos (George) in the final fight. Which ever one doesn’t make the final, should still have enough boost from the show to have a great career with the UFC.
Good to see that they are bringing Roman in for a fight on the Finale. I wondered how far he would have made it if it wasn’t for his arm. I read on Mac Danzig’s blog that it was actually him that caused the injury.
Roman definitely seems like a bit of a loose cannon, but he definitely had character!
Does anyone else find it strange that Goulet is on the card against Georgieff? I know Goulet isn’t a top tier fighter but it doesn’t seem like a fair matchup, given Georgieff’s lack of experience.
Glad to see Dorian back, happy to see Richie get a fight (hopefully he’s worked on his ground and take down defense) and if Paul can’t beat Goulet, he’s not ready for the UFC.
Mac > George in final.
A Danzig vs. Stiropoulos is the fight is what most fans want to see and I hope that fight is the finale to crown the next Ultimate Fighter. I am also hyped up for the Huerta vs. Guida fight; now that is a headlining fight for Spike TV.
I like both Huerta and Guida and it should be one of those talked about matches. Hopefully it’ll do well for Spike. There’s something about Guida that I really like (every fight of his is exciting and he’s never afraid to take chances). Win or lose, Clay has won me over as a fan.
The Huerta Guida fight is big. Huerta is like a meteor scorching to the top of the division, but that fire could be dampened, if not extinguished, by a loss to Guida. This is a tough one to call. I think Guida actually won the fight against Tyson Griffin, and was surprised he didn’t get the decision. He’s going to be a handful for anyone at 155, apart from maybe BJ Penn. But Huerta is being groomed for MMA stardom and they are moving him along nicely. This is the perfect next step for him and I think he’ll take it by unanimous decision after losing the first round.
So I hear the winner of this fight is supposedly going to fight kenny florian.
Sean – that’s the speculation, which will make for yet another exciting 155 match. Just when you think Kenny’s done, he finds an inner strength to come back stronger. I couldn’t believe how intense he looked (and fought) in his last match. I think we’ll see Florian vs the winner of Penn/Sherk (sooner if Sherk wins, since BJ will only fight 2 times a year at max).
