UFC 121 Official with Lesnar vs. Velasquez, Shields vs. Kampmann on Oct. 23

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will face Cain Velasquez in the main event of “UFC 121: Lesnar vs. Velasquez” on October 23 (or Brocktober 23, according to a UFC release) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The UFC officially announced the long-rumored event and it’s pay-per-view main card on Monday.
The UFC 121 fight card is co-headlined by the UFC debut of Jake Shields vs. Martin Kampmann and also features Diego Sanchez vs. Paulo Thiago, Tito Ortiz vs. Matt Hamill, and Brendan Schaub vs. Gabriel Gonzaga.

Anyone know when tickets go on sale?
I just found out tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, Thursday for the UFC Online membership.
Christmas comes in October to Orange County.
I think Kammpman has enough skill on the ground to defend the submisions from Shields. He could even submit him. He is for sure WAY better on the feet. Shields has sick takedowns but thats really the only advantage I see him having in this fight. I hope to see Kammpman get this one in the bag.
Im interested in seeing how Tito comes back also. I think he has better stand up than Hamill so I see him trying to stay on his feet for this one.
Hope to see Gonzaga get a W. That dude is a beast.

What a card indeed!!!! Anywhere I can see Gonzaga, Duffe, and Stout on the prelims might be a recipe for a trip!

The student fights the teacher. After all the good things Tito had to say about Hamill while on TUF, I wonder what he will will say in the lead-up to the fight. I like them both, hopefully Tito doesn’t ruin it by talking trash about a guy like Hamill.
tito already said some awful stuff. Said Hamel has been baby his whole life because of him being deaf. Also said dath people are soft in the head and have no equalibrium. so he wont look for one big shot and will give Hammel a bunch of short shots. He said this on inside MMA.
Thing is Tito’s pronounciation aint much better than Hamill’s.

seriously cool match up though. I think Hamill is a bit more multi dimensional as a fighter, but Tito still might be able to neutralize thewrestling control and war it out, but hamill shows more signs of evolving, kicks etc. love these fighters styles
I hope Tito doesn’t talk crap on Hamill, and I don’t think he will, this is the perfect matchup for both of these guys. could get Tito back on track with a win, or put him in to retirment, and if Hamill wins, he can say at the end of his career that he beat Tito Ortiz which I hope happens. Hammill continues to get better and better, and Tito unfortunately continues to get injured and more injured. Lesnar/Velasquez, I have to go with Lesnar, and will have to continue to go that way until someone can buck his a*s off when he gets on top. I don’t see Velasquez doing that if Carwin couldn’t finish him, and Carwin’s hands are heavier than Velasquez.

Taking massive shots to the dome peice (carwin shots to the Dome to be matter of fact) and being the only man to get out of the first round shows the heart of a warrior to me. I’m not a Brock supporter im just saying if you’re judging Heart then Lesner has shown way more than Cain has.
