Bellator 24 Results: Lombard Scores 38-Second KO; Fujii, Aguilar, Grove Advance

Hector LombardBellator middleweight champ Hector Lombard scored a 38-second KO of Herbert “Whisper” Goodman on Thursday in the non-title main event of Bellator 24, the promotion’s season three debut in Hollywood, Florida.

Lombard has now won 15-straight, including a 6-second KO of Jay Silva in May, and will next defend his title for the first time against season two tournament winner Alexander Shlemenko, likely at Bellator 34 on October 28.

Bellator 24 also featured 115-pound women’s tournament wins by Megumi Fujii and Jessica Aguilar, while Neil Grove stopped Eddie Sanchez in a heavyweight tournament opener.
