wanderlei is such a great guy, he’s a huge inspiration to so many people. Most guys on their way to stardom forget where they come from and who they are but not wanderlei. This video makes me emotional. One of my all time favorite fighters and one of the nicest people in the fighting game. Good luck with the recovery wandy! We all cant wait for you to come back.
Great video !
I have always thought Wanderlei is an awesome force of nature. He destroyed other fighters in Pride and had some misfortunes in UFC. I have seen every Wandy fight that has ever been recorded and in my opinion he is the greatest middle weight to ever walk the planet. I hope he recovers and comes back as strong as ever. I cant wait to see you in action again Wandy. Good Luck!
I think it would be huge for the UFC 185 weightclass if Wanderlei Silva could beat the admittedly VERY long odds and work his way into a title shot with Anderson Silva…
a 100% axe murder will chop the spiders 8 legs off!!! anderson is over rated
HAHAHA!!
Agreed, I’ve always said Anderson is overrated, good to see someone else say the same.
Back on topic, great vid, I hope Wand can come back stronger than before. I love this guy, sooo much heart and love for his fans. idk if there is any other fighter who loves his fans as much as he does. I have heard him say time and time again how he owes so much to his fans, all he wants when he fights (win or lose) is to put on great, exciting fights. You know he may never hold a belt in the ufc, but I don’t care (not to say I wouldn’t like it) just as long as he can do what he loves to do. If he loves putting on a show for us, then so be it, I’ll be watching.
Go Wandy go, all the best in your recovery, don’t push it too fast to soon, your fans await your return.
I don’t think Wand will fulfill that dream, unless Forrest regains the title at 205 and Wand moves back up there. I think that Wanderlei has already peaked. He didn’t look like a huge destructive force against Rich Franklin or Chuck Liddell and quite honestly Bisping is hot the best that 185 has to offer. He needs to face guys like Nate Mardquart, Sonnen, Lawler, Leban, Okami – all of which have great changes of beating Wanderlei, and all of which would (most likely) get killed by Anderson Silva. So unless Silva retires or Wanderlei finds a fountain of fighters youth (I am aware that Wanderlei is 34 years old, which is relatively young for a fighter, but he’s been through too many wars already) he isn’t going to be holding gold with this organization.
Wanderlei should be a TUF coatch. I was watching some pre-show thing and there was all this stuff about how Wanderlei not only coatches kids at his gym, but helps like foreign kids training in his gym sort their “green card issues” (or what ever you’d call them). Se he’s a great guy, real supportive and all that. He’s also a mentor. And an inspiration. And that is what I’d like to see in an The Ultimate Fighter coatch.
Aside from your gramatic errors, I agree 100% – he should coach TUF
There are two m’s in “grammar” and the proper word you’re looking for is “grammatical”. Glass houses, man. Glass houses.
Yeah, I can’t spell for crap… :D
Keep it clean.

Wandi puts everything he has into a fight and every fight he is in is an out right war. If everyone in the ufc would fight like wandi the sport would be twice what it is today. I thing MMA owes wandi alot for what he has done in the MMA world. Good luck on your return wandi and get well soon. love ya brother
Much love Wandi, stay strong, keep positive and with you’re tenacity you will compete at the pinnacle level again! We the fans look forward to you bringing that “Axe Murder” mentality and pace back in the cage. Keep strong brother.
Stay positive and smile!
