UFC 120 to Air on Spike TV on Tape Delay on October 16

As expected, Spike TV has announced that it will air “UFC 120: Bisping vs. Akiyama” on same-day tape-delay on October 16 beginning at 9pm ET from the O2 Arena in London.
The broadcast will feature at least five fights, including the UFC 120 headliner between middleweights Michael Bisping and Yoshihiro Akiyama.
Also slated to be broadcast are Dan Hardy vs. Carlos Condit, John Hathaway vs. Mike Pyle, Cheick Kongo vs. Travis Browne, and James Wilks vs. Claude Patrick.
Cyrille Diabate vs. Alexander Gustafson and Stanislav Nedkov vs. Steve Cantwell have been named swing bouts and will air if time permits.

On uk radio they are advertising this card as the uk’s toughest against the worlds greatest fighters. I feel like contacting the Office of Fair Trading to complain on ground of misrepresentation.
im exited for the diabate/gustaffson fight. 2 very brutal, technical strikers. also john hathaway, really impressed with his debut over a timid diego sanchez. i think the nightmare has some confidence issues after the penn fight. *no more “YES” cartwheels. hahahaha
Big names, but not HUGE names. Good match-ups, but not HUGE match-ups. Commercial breaks, but NO money out of pocket. I will watch, and I will enjoy.

It feels like Condit is the underdog in this one because Hardy getting all this hype now… I like Hardy but cmon, the dude really hasnt beat anyone significant.
Marcus Davis, Mike Swick, and Rory Markham? Yeah, you’re probably right about that.
didnt he beat gono by split dec also. gono not great ,but he good.
I mean really, that Marcus fight was controversial. Markham… i mean really do you think Markham is a legit guy to beat to get closer to a title shot…. The Swick fight was the only good win he got, and he’s never really impressed me… I mean Swick has beaten Marcus Davis and Ben Saunders…
Bsbiz, i get where your coming from, but IMO I dont think those 3-4 guys (inclulding Gono) is really truly worthy of a title shot… In terms of marketing and timing, he was really the only viable option at that time. Kampmann got destroyed by Daley, ppl dont want to see rematches ex: Kos, Fitch.
Dont get me wrong, i love Hardy, I just think Condit will be his first real test except GSP. thats all
