The California State Athletic Commission has yet again delayed UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk’s appeal of a positive steroid test, suspension, and fine reports The Fight Network:
The California State Athletic Commission today confirmed the postponement of UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk’s Tuesday, Nov. 13 appeal hearing for a steroids-related suspension. CSAC associate governmental program analyst Bill Douglas cited scheduling conflicts as the reasons behind the delay. The hearing has not yet been rescheduled.
“Eleven different individuals need their schedule coordinated – not an easy task,” Douglas said.

If his 1 year punishment counts the backdated time, it will be done before it even starts.
lol holy_dave. I would be pretty upset if I were Sherk. That’s pretty unprofessional of the CSAC in my opinion.
Agh, the good ole’ CSAC. At this point, is anyone suprised with anything the CSAC does?
This is hillarious, and this is why Dana White did what he did, he knew this was coming.
So, Sherk is essentially vindicated in my mind, they must have never had a strong enough case anyway. Plus, the CSAC sucks, and I don’t trust them.
Looking forward to the unification bout.
I hop that Dana White lobbys to restructure the CSAC. There is plenty of evidence to support their miss handeling of IMPORTANT decision maling. For a sport trying to make a move to mainstream, a governing body with such disaray makes it difficult.
The judging and testing have got to change! I can’t stand what’s happened in this last year. The CSAC obviously has a bug up their butts to do this kind of stuff to a fighter! Indeed Holy Dave, indeed. This will work out to Sherk just serving his one year sentence and fighting for the title again. Also Hermes Franca should be back in the mix.
NEED THEIR SCHEDULES COORDINATED?!?!?!
ISN’T THIS THEIR JOB?!?!?
I DON’T HAVE TO “COORDINATE MY SCHEDULE” TO GO TO WORK IN THE MORNING!!!!
They’ve all gotta co-ordinate their vacation schedules to their private retreats in third world countries paid for by kickbacks.
Well.. ok, maybe just their vacation schedules…
this is getting to be real bull****. say sherk is innocent, they’ve suspended him for nearly six months already for nothing. CSAC is a laughing stock.
Get it togeather we all know sherk didn’t use roids at all let him back in the ring to beat the hell out of the **** B J penn
It seems that Dana did a smart thing by having an Interim Lightweight Championship Match.
