DREAM 15: Shinya Aoki, Tatsuya Kawajiri on Weight for Headliner

DREAM lightweight champion Shinya Aoki and challenger Tatsuya Kawajiri successfully weighed in today for their title bout, which headlines Saturday’s DREAM 15 event in Saitama, Japan.

Despite failing to make weight by more than 20 pounds, UFC veteran Jake O’Brien will still face Gegard Mousasi in the opening round of DREAM’s light heavyweight tournament after Mousasi reportedly turned down a matchup with former UFC champ Ricco Rodriguez.

The rest of the DREAM 15 card, including light heavyweights Melvin Manhoef and Tatsuya Mizuno and lightweights Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante and Katsunori Kikuno, also made weight.

DREAM 15 airs live in the U.S. on HDNet at 3am ET.
