Fresh off a victory over Matt Brown at Saturday’s UFC 116, welterweight Chris Lytle will return to action at UFC 119 on September 25 in his native Indianapolis, according to MMA Weekly, though his opponent has yet to be determined.
After earning “fight night” bonuses in back-to-back wins over Kevin Burns and Brian Foster, the always exciting Lytle (29-17-5) nearly claimed “Submission of the Night” after forcing Brown to submit to an armbar-triangle choke combo on the UFC 116 main card.
Dunham (11-0) has improved to 4-0 in the UFC with recent wins over Efrain Escudero and Tyson Griffin, while Sherk (33-4-1) hasn’t fought since last May, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Frankie Edgar for his second loss in three fights.
UFC 119 has not been officially announced and does not yet have a main event, but is also rumored to include Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens, Joey Beltran vs. Matt Mitrione, CB Dollaway vs. Joe Doerksen, and TJ Grant vs. Julio Paulino.
