Heavyweight Newcomers Rob Broughton and Vinicius Kappke de Quieroz Meet at UFC 120

Rob BroughtonA heavyweight matchup between newcomers Rob Broughton and Vinicius Kappke de Quieroz has been added to the UFC 120 fight card on October 16 at London’s O2 Arena, Quieroz’s Chute Boxe team today announced.

An M-1 Challenge veteran, Broughton (14-5-1) signed a four-fight deal with the UFC in April after winning an eight-man, one-night tournament in Japan in January that included a submission of Neil Wain and KO of James Thompson, while the Brazilian Quieroz (5-1) has won four-straight fights all by first-round knockout.

Broughton makes his UFC debut alongside Wolfslair teammate Kurt Warburton, who takes on lightweight veteran Spencer Fisher at UFC 120.

UFC 120 features a matchup between welterweight contenders Dan Hardy and Carlos Condit, and is also expected to include John Hathaway vs. Dong Hyun Kim and Cheick Kongo vs. Travis Browne.
