UFC 116 Salaries: Lesnar Makes Flat $400K, Carwin Can Earn $80K

UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will make $400,000 for his UFC 116 headliner against interim title-holder Shane Carwin, who can earn $80,000 with a win in the main event, according to figures released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Lesnar also receives a cut of UFC 116’s pay-per-view buys, while Carwin does not.

UFC President Dana White has announced that UFC 116 has officially sold out the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is expected to top 1 million pay-per-view buys.

The official UFC 116 salaries are:

  • Brock Lesnar: $400,000 (no win bonus)
  • Shane Carwin: $40,000 to show, $40,000 to win
  • Chris Leben: $43,000 to show, $43,000 to win
  • Yoshihiro Akiyama: $45,000 to show, $25,000 to win
