I dont know why people are hating on brock. He seems to be in very good shape, much leaner than before the illness. I know ring rust may be a factor but i just dont see shane being able to stop brock from taking him down. If brock dominates this fight he shuts all the hater up. I know he runs his mouth but at the end of the day as long as he continues to win and win convincingly then he can run his mouth. This is going to be very intresting.

Just to be clear, “winning” doesn’t ever entitle an MMA fighter to say some of the things that Brock Lesnar has said, or do some of the things that he’s done.
Questioning his effectiveness in the cage is just plain silly, but regardless of how many fights he wins, or fighters he silverbacks in the cage, he doesn’t get to “run his mouth”.
Its poor sportsmanship, plain and simple, and something Dana White needs to stay on top of before another major corporate sponsor gets disrespected, or his HW champion flips off 15,000 paying fans…again.
Winning and/or losing isn’t the issue, how Lesnar handles himself within our sport is what draws the ire of almost all of his detractors…

  • Clown says:

I dont think anyone is hating on him.. but when you put them side by side they are same build. brock might be a bit stronger but not by much and even then there wrestling is close to equal so shane would be able to protect himself. I think it comes down to the hands which we know brock has that 1 punch knockdown power but havne’ tseen the knockout. where shane has that. I see Brock using the training that Randy helped him with and trying to dirty box him up against the cage then shaaashaaabooooieeeee shane uppercuts him with some insanly week looking arm punch and brock falls through the ring.

Did anyone else notice after the press conference, when they stood side-by-side, how Brock seemed to dwarf Shane?

  • Kuma says:

At the weigh-ins they looked about the same. Brocks head is just 2 sizes bigger 10 pounds heavier. Carwin WAR!

  • Mr President says:

My opinion of this fight is that if the fight happened last November when it was supposed too, Brock would win hands down. But after going through what he has, I don’t think Brock will be the same. I’m afraid he will have lost a lot of strength and speed that made him so formidable. Therefor I think Carwin will win in his old fashion, quick and violent.

  • Jason says:

Yeah, I think Brock is confident about the clinch and thats when he’ll catch an uppercut or two. Might be how it all plays out.

  • Andrew says:

We all must remember that this is a form of entertainment. And in every sport what brock said would be considered very mild especially in the Nfl. For most of his fights he has had just good trash talk but he did let frank get under his skin in the last one. And as long as he is considered the baddest man on the planet i dont care what he says someone just need to shut him up physically.

As far as the fight. Shane definetly has better power but brocks speed and quickness will be hard to overcome. If Brock allows shane to get into his chest and grapple him the way he let randy then he will loose. But in almost every other phase of the match i think brock will hold a distinct advantage. Eiher way no way this one goes five.

  • Marcus says:

I think there are a lot of Brock haters on this post right now. I don’t disagree with the fact that his behavior has been out of line from time to time and I think he will get better in time with regards to his behavior. However in regards to the fight itself. Carwin will be Brocks biggest test in his short MMA career. Not because Carwin is some phenom but merely because Carwin is the closest fighter to being as big as Brock and Carwin also posses proven knock out power. Sure Carwin is as big as Brock at the weigh in. They both weighed the same. The difference will be when the fight starts. Carwin walks around at around 285lbs where as Brock walks around well over 300lbs. We will see the size difference in the center of the octagon right before the fight starts. Carwin is no slouch in wrestling but you cant even compare a Division I and Divison II wrestler. Its like saying that the NFL and Arena Football league players are the same caliber. And to assume Shane is as strong as Brock I personally think would be giving Shane too much credit. I don’t know how strong Shane is but lets not forget that Brock routinely carried/slammed/tossed 300+ pound men when he was acting in the male soap operas (WWF/WWE). And Shane was taken down by Gonzaga who isn’t the biggest or most skilled wrestler in the heavyweight division. I see the only way Carwin wins is if he catches Brock on the chin. Otherwise I don’t see Brock standing with Carwin not because he cant but more so because he doesn’t need to. Brock will take Carwin to the ground and work his ground and pound until the end of the first round and will do the same in the second, third, forth and fifth or until the ref stops the fight.
