Alistair Overeem vs. Ricco Rodriguez, Gegard Mousasi vs. Jake O’Brien Added to DREAM 15

Gegard MousasiStrikeforce heavyweight champ Alistair Overeem is set to face Ricco Rodriguez in a non-title bout at DREAM 15, according to MMAjunkie, while Gegard Mousasi will face Jake O’Brien in a light heavyweight grand prix matchup at the July 10 event in Saitama, Japan.

Overeem (33-11) is undefeated in his last nine bouts, including a first-round knockout of Brett Rogers in his first title defense in May, while Rodriguez (42-11) has won seven-straight with back-to-back first-round KOs.

Mousasi (28-3-1) had won 15-straight before dropping a unanimous decision and the Strikeforce light heavyweight title to Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in April, while O’Brien (13-3) has won two-straight since being released following a UFC loss to Jon Jones last July.

The Mousasi-O’Brien winner will face the winner of Melvin Manhoef vs. Tatsuya Mizuno to be crowned DREAM’s light heavyweight champion.

DREAM 15 is headlined by lightweight champ Shinya Aoki vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri and airs live on HDNet.
