Darren Elkins vs. Charles Oliveira Pushed Back to UFC on Versus 2

Darren ElkinsA lightweight bout between Darren Elkins and undefeated newcomer Charles Oliveira, first reported in April, has been pushed back from The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale on June 19 to UFC on Versus 2 on August 1 in Salt Lake City after the Brazilian Oliveira encountered visa issues, according to MMAjunkie.

Oliveira (12-0), who signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC in March, made his MMA debut in early-2008 with three-straight stoppage victories in an eight-man, one night tournament in Brazil and has since improved to 12-0 while going to decision just once, most-recently winning a tournament in February with a pair of opening round wins.

Following back-to-back wins, Elkins (12-1) replaced an injured Spencer Fisher and made his UFC debut against Duane “Bang” Ludwig at the UFC’s Versus debut in March, earning a 44-second TKO after Ludwig suffered a broken ankle while being taken down.
