Ross Pearson vs. Cole Miller Targeted for September’s UFC Fight Night 22
The Ultimate Fighter 9 lightweight winner Ross Peason is targeted to face TUF 5 castmember Cole Miller at UFC Fight Night 22 on September 15, MMAFighting reports.
A location for the event, which airs live on Spike TV ahead of the debut of The Ultimate Fighter 12, has not been announced.
Pearson (11-3) earned a unanimous decision over Andre Winner to win TUF 9 last June and has since scored victories over Aaron Riley in November and Denis Siver in March.
Miller (16-4) has won 3 of his last 4, most-recently bouncing back from a September loss to Efrain Escudero with a first-round submission of Dan Lauzon in January.
UFC Fight Night 22 is expected to be headlined by recently middleweight challenger Demian Maia vs. Alan Belcher, and will also feature Jim Miller vs. Gleison Tibau.

Nice scrap for free TV IMO…
Not surprising that a battle between former TUF contestants ends up on the lead in for season 12, I think Pearson should take this one.
Agreed.
Pearson He11a impressed me against Denis Siver, who isn’t exactly a pushover…
i was kinda expecting Pearson vs Escudero, which IMO would have been a better matchup
Agreed, but this should still be a good one. Cole always brings the effort, but Ross’ crisp striking will be too much for him.
I’ve watched every one of Ross’ fights and I have total belief in the lad, he trains hard and works hard in the octagon, Cole miller best get himself in shape if he stands even the slightest of chances. ross’s conditioning and striking is far superior from what ive seen.
