Although Conor McGregor is about to box one of the greatest pugilists of this generation, the UFC champ’s reporting he’s still doing some MMA training.
McGregor is preparing to fight Mayweather on August 26th, in what will likely be the highest grossing bout of all time. While talking to the media recently, McGregor relayed the following, while discussing his short term future (quote via Bloody Elbow):
“I believe I’ll come out of this fight without a scratch,” McGregor said. “[Take] a couple weeks to refresh my jiu-jitsu and my wrestling – not that I’ve stopped training that either, I’ve still kept up on that, just less – and then we’ll see what happens.”
McGregor went on to say again that he’s interested in fighting Khabib Nurmagomedov in Russia. We shall see what happens.
Mayweather – McGregor will be hosted by T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
