As many believed would be the case, Dana White has confirmed that the UFC is targeting a bout between Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar next.

Holloway took out the legendary Jose Aldo in June to unify the featherweight belts, and since then, it’s been expected that Edgar would be the Hawaiian star’s first challenger. Edgar is coming off wins over Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens, and the only man who has defeated him since 2012 is Aldo.

Well, recently Khon 2 spoke with White, and the latter confirmed that they are “looking at” Edgar for Holloway’s next opponent. The date and location have yet to be determined, but White said they want to book it for sometime in 2017.
