Roy Nelson’s lengthy run with the UFC has come to an end, as it’s being reported the heavyweight has signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator.
Following an initial report from MMA Fighting, other outlets have also confirmed with sources that “Big Country” will join the Viacom owned promotion. The 40 year-old Nelson entered free agency recently, following his decision loss to Alexander Volkov last month.
The heavy handed fighter, who joined the UFC way back in 2009, has gone 2-3 in his last five fights.
There’s no word yet as to when Nelson will make his Bellator debut.
