After scoring a stoppage win over Dennis Bermudez earlier this year, in his long awaited return to the Octagon, Chan Sung Jung has been booked to fight another top ranked featherweight.
When “TKZ” took on Bermudez at UFC Fight Night 104, it marked the first time Jung (14-4) had fought since 2013, when he injured his shoulder while fighting champ, Jose Aldo. Jung proceeded to complete his mandatory military service in South Korea.
Lamas (17-5), meanwhile, hasn’t fought since November when he submitted Charles Oliveira. Prior to that the perennial contender lost via decision to interim champ, Max Holloway.
So, that’s a solid addition to UFC 214. Lamas is ranked #3 at 145 and Jung is #5.
