The UFC’s Athlete Retreat was largely overshadowed by an altercation between Cris “Cyborg” Justino and Angela Magana, and now Dana White has commented on the situation.
Justino and Magana were seen arguing outside of the event, over an insulting tweet the latter posted regarding “Cyborg”. Reports surfaced that “Cyborg” punched Magana during the argument, and a video of the incident also surfaced.
At the TUF 26 tryouts in Las Vegas, White had this to say about the altercation (quote via MMA Fighting):
“Obviously, we’re looking into that and it’s very serious,” White said. “We’ll see what happens. This is the thing that the district attorney and the police are handling right now. There’s way more to that than just what am I thinking about it.”
Justino has reportedly been charged with misdemeanor battery following the altercation. “Cyborg” has also posted a lengthy statement regarding the incident.
