Sorry to say it again, but Dana is absolutly right. I hope the UFC can make a one fight deal possible with Fedor. I just thought of this, but how big of a promotional scam would it be if Zuffa was the backer for M-1!?!?!? Look at all the press they have gotten off of this, and the biggest fight is just bigger now. Wishfull thinking huh?
Uhh pure soapopera BS… Yes Randy wll do his 2 fights that are on the contract.
Give me a freakin brake! Its not about money or that contract or anythig else. It’s about Randy wanting to fight Fedor. I say go for it screw that contract, rules are made to be broken. Plus I havent read his contract and I’m fairly sure 99.9% of the UFC fans havent either. So no one really knows what his contract says, if their is a catch 22 or a clause 44. I’m sure the last thing the UFC wants to do is make Randy sound like he’s doing the right thing for himself.
I seen the interview with Dana on ESPN today. Its kind of hard to pick who is the bad guy here. Its really easy for people to hate Dana because he is “The Man”, but he has done so much for this sport that he deserves a little more respect from his fighters. Randy would not be close to where he is today if it wasnt for Dana…well he may have still been the Champ…but we would not be having this discussion here, and this website would not be successful. (Not a shot at you Kris…just an example of how mainstream the UFC has gotten thanks to Dana.) I am a longtime UFC fan…made my way over after boxing started sucking….and I think it is great that it is so popular. Who is the figure head to thank becuase of it….Dana White…if he f***s up once in a while…who cares. Good luck Randy, and I hope to see you fight once again….but dont bring down the UFC and rob us fans because you dont feel respected.

Hopefully the UFC and Couture good get back on good terms again. There are still some fights out there for Couture like him fighting Minotauro and Barnett. A fight with Arlovski is interesting, but they might be friends so that fight might not happen.
Randy Couture is the most respectable fighter out there, which is why I was shocked to learn that he didn’t simply talk to Dana White personally about it. At the same time, it’s always a good move to have “leverage” in negotiating a contract. And that’s why Randy is such a great winner – he always finds the perfect leverage. And then again – maybe he just wants change. We all need that sometimes.
I love Randy, and hope him the best, whatever he does,
i would prefer randy come back as well. i would love to see nog vs cotoure. i donrt think ill see barnett in the ufc again.
