Warren vs. Pitbull will be interesting, Warren has gotten all his victories with his wrestling, and his one loss came to a submission (though the tap was somewhat controversial). Pitbull showed good takedown defense against Reis who is no slouch, but I’m not sure that his wrestling is quite on the same level as Warren’s. Warren very well could get caught by one of Pitbull’s subs. I highly doubt this fight will take place standing up, because Pitbull definitely is better than Warren there, so I think he would rather take his chances on the ground in wrestling v. BJJ than wrestling v. Muay Thai stand up.

I posted earlier today that I thought that Jay Silva would make a better showing against Hector Lombard than the troubled Paulo Filho would have, but Filho could hardly have done any worse…

6 seconds?! What did Silva do walk from his corner hands down chin up for Hektor to tag it or something?

    • diezel says:

Maybe he had a plane to catch.

Yeah, pretty much. I noticed his hands were really low.

Wasn’t Lombard supposed to fight in the UFC, but had Visa troubles? Are am i thinking of someone else or another promotion (maybe EliteXC)? wonder how he would have done if he had made it to the UFC.
