Dana White Reports Conor McGregor Wants to Fight Twice in 2017…

Since Conor McGregor has yet to fight in 2017, and because he’s a new father, the expectation’s been  the star will fight just once this year. Well, according to Dana White, that might not be the case.

White continues to talk with the UFC lightweight champ regarding a possible bout with Floyd Mayweather. If the fight is signed,  it likely won’t take place until September or October at the earliest.

Although that wouldn’t leave much time for McGregor to compete once again this year, White recently told ESPN SportsCenter this (quote via MMA Mania):

“Conor wants to fight,” White said. “Conor wants to fight Floyd, Conor wants to fight twice this year, so we’ll just have to see how this thing plays out.”

It’s going to be fascinating to see how this all plays out. Obviously the UFC would love to have McGregor back in the Octagon sometime this year.
