Waylon Lowe Steps In to Face Melvin Guillard at UFC 114

Melvin GuillardWaylon Lowe will make his UFC debut as a replacement for injured Thiago Tavares and will face fellow lightweight Melvin Guillard at UFC 114 on May 29 in Las Vegas, Heavy reports.

Lowe (8-2) has won six-straight, including a first-round knockout of Steve Berger last month in King of the Cage, while Guillard (42-6-2) has won 4 of his last 5, including a unanimous decision over Ronnys Torres at January’s UFC 109.

UFC 114 is headlined by a grudge match between former 205-pound champs Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans, and also includes Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Jason Brilz, Michael Bisping vs. Dan Miller, Todd Duffee vs. Mike Russow, and John Hathaway vs. Diego Sanchez.
