Following the release of a video, which shows Georges St-Pierre has bulked up a wee bit in advance of his bout with Michael Bisping, the latter’s taken the opportunity to take a poke at the Canadian star.
GSP recently did a video shoot for his equipment sponsor Hayabusa, and during a Q&A for the event, the former welterweight champ relayed he’s never been bigger. Since the video went up, some screenshots of St-Pierre have circled around the internet, and Bisping took notice.
During a more recent episode of Bisping’s “Believe You Me” podcast, the outspoken fighter had this to say about the pics (quote via MMA Fighting):
“I don’t know what’s going on, to be quite frank,” Bisping said. “But he looks like he’s been impregnated by an alien.”“He’s in his typical GSP little spandex tiny shorts, but they’re black, not white,” Bisping added. “He’s got his shin pads and his MMA gloves on. And a gigantic belly sticking. I know he said he’s getting bigger.”
Now, if you know Bisping, none of these comments should come as a surprise.
Perhaps more importantly, depending on your vantage point of course…the champion also said during the podcast that he expects his fight with GSP will take place in October. In fact, Bisping said he’s “99% certain” it’s not happening in July, like the British star wanted. Obviously the Yoel Romero ultimatum didn’t work…
Bisping’s last fight took place in October, when he worked his way to a tightly contested, decision win over Dan Henderson.
