Middleweights Bryan Baker, Jared Hess, Alexander Shlemenko, and Eric Schambari advanced to the semifinals of Bellator’s 185-pound tournament after earning victories at Thursday’s Bellator 16 event in Kansas City.

Baker, a WEC veteran and tourney favorite, scored a first-round TKO of Sean Loeffler in the Bellator 16 headliner, while Hess choked out former IFL champ Ryan McGivern with a second-round guillotine.

Also on the Fox Sports Net-televised main card, Shlemenko topped Matt Major by unanimous decision and Eric Schambari stopped Luke Zachrich with a first-round arm triangle.
