After coming to terms on a new UFC, rising light-heavyweight Misha Cirkunov has been booked for his next out.
Recently Dana White reported that Cirkunov would not be returning to the promotion, after the UFC President said he was “done” with the 30 year-old fighter. Cirkunov was a free agent, after going undefeated in his first four, UFC bouts.
More recently, however, White confirmed that he had resigned Cirkunov to a new contract, and now the UFC’s announced he’ll take on Volkan Oezdemir, May 28th.
The UFC is holding a Fight Night card on that day in Stockholm, Sweden.
Cirkunov (13-2) is coming off a submission win over Nikita Krylov in December, while Oezdemir (13-1) earned a split decision win over Ovince Saint Preux last month. Oezdemir was making his Octagon debut.
That’s a pretty interesting bout at 205.
