UFC 209 is underway in Las Vegas, Nevada, which will see welterweight champ Tyron Woodley take on Stephen Thompson in the main event.
The two battled to a majority draw in their first battle, which took place at UFC 205 in November.

Mark Hunt vs. Alistair Overeem
Hunt battled through a massive gash on his shin, after having one of his leg kicks checked, and wobbled Overeem twice with massive elbows. Overeem turned to his clinch game, however, and in round three, he knocked Hunt out with a couple of vicious knees.

Cynthia Calvillo vs. Amanda Cooper
The bout went to the mat not long in, and Calvillo immediately had Cooper on the defensive with a choke attempt. After some scrambling, Calvillo secured a fight ending, rear-naked-choke to score the first round win.

Rashad Evans vs. Daniel Kelly
Evans beat Kelly to the punch early on, and also kept busy with kicks, but as per usual, Kelly kept moving forward. Kelly landed some hard shots during the memorable bout, and had Evans defending trip attempts. Evans stepped up his attacks later in round three, but after the competitive fight, Kelly was awarded the split decision win.

David Teymur vs. Lando Vannata
Vannata’s acrobatic kicking and striking game was on full display during the fight, but Teymur scored often with legkicks and counter punches. In round three, Teymur also landed several takedowns, and earned the decision win. Outstanding fight.

Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson
Both men were extremely cautious throughout most of the fight, but Thompson was the aggressor more of the time. Woodley landed a takedown at one point, but the welterweight champ didn’t pick up the pace until later into the bout. In round five, Woodley dropped Thompson with a vicious flurry of punches, but the latter survived and made it to the final bell.
