Middleweight David Loiseau has become the latest Canadian fighter to step in as a late-replacement for UFC 113, as “The Crow” will reportedly replace Nick Catone and face John Salter on the preliminary card of the May 8 pay-per-view event at the Bell Centre in Montreal, according to Sportsnet.
Loiseau (19-9) returned to the UFC for the first time in more than two-and-a-half years when he faced Ed Herman last April in Montreal, but dropped a unanimous decision and was promptly released. Despite a 4-5 UFC record, Loiseau returns after rebounding with a first-round TKO victory in February.
Salter (4-1) suffered his first career loss in his UFC debut in January, suffering a third-round TKO to Gerald Harris.
UFC 113 is headlined by a rematch between light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida and challenger Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and also features a matchup between welterweight contenders Josh Koscheck and Paul Daley.
