Hendricks has lost three consecutive fights now and four of his last five, and due to his well documented, weight cutting issues, the former welterweight champ’s moved up to 185.
Lombard, meanwhile, is coming off consecutive losses to Neil Magny and Dan Henderson. The loss to the latter came via a vicious knockout. So, both men are in desperate need of a victory.
The fight’s also a compelling one, since both men have been known to put away opponents in short and violent fashion. Although, Hendricks hasn’t finished an opponent since 2012. Could that change with the move to middleweight?
In the video below, both men discuss Saturday’s match-up, which will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
